BSMA GT Cup - Rhayader this weekend - cancelled

Round 2 of the GT Cup at Cwmythig Hill, Rhayader LD6 5NS

This event is still on and has NOT been Cancelled.
The track stands up very well to the wet weather as it is slate ground on the side of a hill, any water on it at all will drain off of the track.
A large part of the pits is on hard standing and there is a huge tarmac road into the track, the other part of the pits is on a grass area but again the water can run off.
The spectator area is around two sides of the track so really not much walking and very little of it in any sort of mud.

The track is one of the best to stand up against the weather this week.
Please check www.metoffice.gov.uk for forcast updates, currently it shows the worst weather today with light showers tomorrow and Friday and just cloud on Saturday.

Im not doing it but will be watching, I have raced there on the evening series and its Rained all week and day! Dry 2 hours before and the track was so dry i couldnt belive it! ( i like racing in mud, and the bloody track was hard as anything after me expecting it to be very muddy!!)

As said it dries sooooo quick :-) Hence why they have tanks in the hill FULL of water for watering!

Unfortunately after watching the weather forcast for the Rhayader area it now states that it is going to rain all day Sunday as show on the met office web site http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/w...ecast/?tab=map
Due to this the BSMA Management regret that the GT Cup round at Rhayader this weekend has now been cancelled.
Further details will be released soon.
