Love to do this if the adult Mx1 and Mx2 were run separate :-)
GT CUP 2013
Is changing and move forward
After the communication from the chairman of the BSMA ,Peter Ingram, at the last round of the GT CUP 2012 at Mallory Park, ware was announced that GOLDENTYRE will take the full control of the GT CUP in 2013.
Unfortunately we have been informed tath some BSMA individuals have change their mind and move the gold post.in last nite meeting.
We would like to announce that we will run under the ACU rules and regulation ,and we will selected Official from the ACU to run the events in a long side Claudio and the GOLDENTYRE Team.
Riders will need to have a ACU Licence, to compete in the GT CUP 2013,licence can be obtain from their local clubs as usual .
One of our main Upgrade fort the 2013 will be TELEVISION coverage in UK .
We have entered in agreement with 2WHEELS TV.
2 WHEELS TV will be present in all round of the GT CUP 2013
Filming all the youth class during the week end racing , four static camera will be placed on the track and one mobile will be circulating the paddock the recording all the action .
The recording will be then transmitted on MOTORS TV in a program of one hour lengths ,and Internet ,and repeated 4 time during the month ,this will give all our youth riders the chance to repay their sponsor with some better coverage .
Goldentyre as a Promoter will make BIG changes to the series , we will make changes to allow all rider level to enter the championship and race with competitors of the same level .
Like move the top tree rider at the end of the championship to a superior class allow this to have NEW rider to come true the rank.
The intention of Goldentyre is to create a championship to be considered as a step forward from the club meeting before tempting to adventure to Major Championship or moving to International events.
After the past two years we have listen and take notice of all the comment from riders and family ,and we feel that is time to put in place few changes and give more to our riders and support the youth in UK , and to bring this championship in the new direction.
All our sponsors will still support the Championship in 2013 and new one are coming true ,all our rider will have the equal chance to win prices and holeshot on each race during the week end, and all different Award from GOLDENTYRE Academy training day, Clothing deal, and Rider of the day award .
Also MX VICE will be attending the GT CUP in 2013 ,filming and interviewing all the race winner ,and create a channel dedicated to the GT CUP ,after speaking with Jeff Perret he told us that he believe we are moving on the write direction for the youth offering more coverage than others.
We will run the same groups with a join MX1-MX2 scored separate and price money for the both class as usual.
Plus we have create a new CLUBMAN CLASS MX2.
We ,at present time dealing with a Bike Manufacture and another major sponsor dedicated this group ,this will be a BIG change in British Motocross at lower level.

Shame the Bsma can't see what is good for them..
CALLING ALL GT CUP RIDERS
Following the announcement by the (then) BSMA Chairman Peter Ingram at Mallory Park, last weekend that the GT CUP 2013 Championship will be supported and managed by Golden Tyre UK with the affiliation of the BSMA. This morning we have been informed that a new BSMA Chairman has been appointed and that they want to go back on their decision to let Golden Tyre UK manage the GT CUP next year.Once again the GT CUP is let down by the BSMA and affiliates to ACU for 2013
It is our opinion that the people involved in the BSMA management have made a decision which is not in the best interest of the riders or the future of the GT CUP.
Golden Tyre UK has worked tirelessly to raise the profile of this Championship during the last two years and is committed to ensuring its success in the future. It is because of this that Golden Tyre UK has taken the decision to move away from the BSMA and manage the GT CUP in-house with affiliation moving to the ACU.
I can therefore confirm that the GT CUP 2013 will be affiliated to the ACU and managed by Golden Tyre UK.

What is going to happen to the British Youth Nationals and Gareth Hockey, has that been dropped for this series, or will both run as ACU championships?
Claudio and the bsma.
Claudio gets paid £1,500 a meeting from the bsma to run a gt cup round! The gt cup has lost A LOT of money every year it as ran!! Nancy left the bsma because they now only have £150,00 in the bank!! They did have over £500,000 before Claudi started his gt cup so are the BSMA using Claudio as their escape goat to hide the the £350k?

Claudio need the bsma and their licence holders.................How else would he gain insurance to run!! Plus if anything did go tits up the bsma would have to deal with it and pick up the peices as "its still run under a bsma permit"!!!

Yes claudio got payed to run the gt cup with Bsma which I too don't no how that works all I'm saying it's been a good series for the Bsma too loose as alot of riders may move to a better national series.
