Even that for a whole weekend isn't expensive £45 each for 3 nights camping and 2 days of action is great value just to camp on a normal family campsite in this country would cost that

Gareth,

Well done for trying again with the GP this year, I for one will make sure I am there. Having the Welsh assembly on board will be great, as you mentioned in that article when they get behind things such as the speedway it is usually a success with good levels of interest from people outside of the sphere. My brother is a WAG and one thing you can say about them is they are enthusiastic!

You wanted helpful suggestions/feedback, well last year I never went to the handlebar festival. I would have done but the first thing I heard about it was when a Dutch friend of mine called me a couple of days before to discuss meeting up by which point I was already committed. Maybe i'd just been keeping my head in the sand for the months before, but speaking to others and they have said the same. That's probably quite frustrating considering the money you would have spent on advertising the event, but hopefully its helpful for when your deciding where to spend the money this year.

Here's a tip for you; Wales Today has 30 minutes to fill every evening. A good PR agent should be able to swing some sort of nightly slot the week before the event whereby you teach Derek Brockway to ride an MX'er. That would be funny!

.

guys thanks please keep all ideas coming . so what in your views is fair price for weekend ticket / Sunday ticket , would you prefer to pay per person per night for camping ? kids under 10 free(i had 1882 kids pay last year will i get more adults by not charging)? . it basically comes down to fact even on last years budget which was done as tight as possible i need in excess of 11000 paying spectators to cover costs (last year had 7894).
regards
gareth

I always found the online booking confusing.Even though it was just 2 of us i bought a family ticket. So how about pricing as follows,
1 ticket £50 w/e
2+ £40 each
4+ £35 each
camping £10pp
kids under 10 foc
on the gate £30 per day.
I always find the postage and booking fee a bit of a con ,but probably cannot be avoided.
More content in the programme, perhaps a raffle for a nice shiny new bike
Big screens
And i still think there is a problem with pit bikes

You need Simpson to be in there kicking ass, that's what you need. When do the outdoors start over there? Is young Anstie doing them? If not, get him over for it.

Good call getting Anstie over, that would have been a crowd puller

Shame that the Outdoor Nationals start the WE before

Ooo, well I tell you what, then, following on from that - how about investigating getting the Americans on supercross-only contracts over for a bit of GP fun?
