Default Sidcup SEEC Round 8 - Canada Heights

Hi there,

Was wondering what this event is like from those with previous experience.....

What is the ground like....when dry or wet? Sandy? Boggy?
Fast and flowing, or tight in trees?
Do they normally set the checks very tight?
What is the special test like normally? Does it use the MX track?

Ta very much

Got a helmet cam lap from last years test is on the first video, times are usually spot on, just a couple of minutes taken from you on the quick check...enter it!

Great videos Manny the filming is the best I've seen from a helmet camera. How long was the special test last year I couldn't tell where it ended? Was there just one special? My first ride there next week can't wait track looks great! Cheers, Gareth.

Special test started at 45s finished 04:21s so roughly 3:30s long. All classes do 2 test except Sportsmen..usually!

First year they had the test as part of the course so you ride it every lap, probably one of the best test in SEEC that year, hoping they keep to the same format, previously they had you go round a few trees in the orchard and was about 1 half minutes

Manny

3:30 long....wow. Hope they keep that format, you cant beat a long test after riding the Ardura event, makes some of the other short SEEC tests look a bit....well (be polite)....a bit poxy??? The other exception was the Croydon test, which I didn't ride competitively, but helped set up...so a little biased but at least it was quite long, flowing (more than one gear required) and varied, rather than slow, slow and slow in the trees -which is fine for part of the test, but not the whole thing. The Tilgate (?) enduro was also a nice test in layout (faster bit, ditches, trees, sweeping turns, tight turns) but just too short really.

Anyway, hope for the longer test organisers

Should make the test the whole lap. I rode one last week, we had two tests and they both involved at least a 16 min lap. Knackering for sure but allows for a few errors, and still win

With events like Sidcup you finish a lap with people still setting off on their first lap, I will normally do one of my test after my first lap that's why I run into the Youth group in that video...and not everyone is as polite and understanding as me.

I lap special test would be cool but theres to much single track in SEEC enduros, you would be relying on people moving out of your way and as you have probably experienced that just doesn't happen sometimes.
