The prestigious Wulfsport British Masters Motocross Championship has sealed another deal with high profile Blood, Sweat and Gears film crew to broadcast the 2010 Series! After a fantastic 2009, sponsors have been banging at the door to be involved with next years Series. With Kawasaki UK, Michelin Tyres, Proppa.com and an array of others yet to be announced, getting the 2010 series televised for the second year running is now a certainty! Ian Dewhurst, Blood Sweat and Gears producer said "We are extremely pleased with the progress we've made in 2009, ratings have tripled the channel average, have grown weekly and promoters have seen tangible benefits from the increased exposure the industry has received". The clearly excited Ken Winstanley, British Masters Race Director added “I am ecstatic to have agreed terms with the Blood, Sweat and Gears crew for another year of televised action. The 2009 series was unbelievable and I thought was going to be hard to beat. But with most of our classes already full, I can’t wait for the first round at Mallory Park. The filming last year was spot on and has generated an enormous amount of media attention”. Extreme Sports Channel is the number one TV destination for extreme sports fans. Broadcast in the UK on Sky and Virgin TV, it reaches over 9 million homes. Blood Sweat & Gears airs every Saturday at 1pm and 8pm until 26th December and returns with the new series in Spring 2010 with all the highlights from the first round. Extreme Sports Channel is the world's first television channel totally dedicated to action sports and the lifestyle that accompanies them. The channel showcases non-stop action from surfing to skateboarding, snowboarding to BMX, and motocross to mountain biking, and also provides a home for innovative sports such as pro video gaming. Extreme Sports Channel launched in 1999 and is now available in 55 territories across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It broadcasts in 11 languages, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to 23.5 million subscribers. “I’m very pleased to offer our viewers in the UK and Ireland even more high-adrenaline, highly-skilled sports action in the form of Blood, Sweat & Gears”, says Tim MacMullen, Acquisitions Manager for Extreme Sports Channel. “The UK motocross scene is vibrant and growing and it’s great to be working with Red Church to bring Blood, Sweat and Gears to both existing fans and attract a new audience to the races. Paul Minihane, Presenter, co-producer & 26 year motocross veteran summed things up by saying "2009 has exceeded all of our expectations and has established Blood Sweat and Gears as the premiere off road motorsport show in the world. We debuted a format covering all classes from youth to pro and this unique approach has helped us bring back the national attention our sport deserves". The number one British Youth, Amateur and Pro Series is going from strength to strength. The whole Masters team is looking forward to seeing everyone at Mallory Park on the 13th and 14th March for the Series blast off. On behalf of the Masters team, Ken would like to wish all of the Masters riders, officials and spectators, past and present a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
